Know your TSH from your FT4 and FT3

TSH should be combined with FT4 and FT3 to start to understand thyroid function.  TSH by itself, although giving you some indication, is by no means a well-rounded view of thyroid function.

Become familiar with the tests doctors use with your clients

Always ask to see a copy of any blood results one of your clients has even if you do not know anything about blood tests.  Start to become familiar with the tests doctors use.

Pace yourself

Pace yourself. Working with sustained pace and intensity over a long period of time is counterproductive. Creating space between periods of intense activity enables high performer’s productive and creativity that can sustain itself over time. Remember to take me time.
