Mark Buckley is an orthopaedic rehabilitation expert and strength and conditioning coach who has worked with many professional athletes. His busy training schedule takes him around the world and he’s widely acclaimed for his approach, which bridges the gap between the rehabilitation, post rehab/strength and conditioning models.
Mark is the founder of FMA Strength Training, an international certification programme, and for the last 15 years he has been part of the senior faculty of the C.H.E.K Institute. He also led the musculo-skeletal therapy unit at Lower Hutt Hospital in Wellington, New Zealand, where he was part of a multi-disciplinary team that specialised in the rehabilitation of both acute and chronic injuries. Mark is also a board member for the PPC Medical Council in Tokyo, Japan.
Over the last 20 years Mark has lectured in New Zealand, Australia, Mexico, USA, Canada, Colombia, Japan, China, Dubai, UK and Sweden.
He has presented at fitness conferences around the world, including Filex Australia, FitEx New Zealand, the FMA strength training conferences in Australia and Canada and the C.H.E.K Conference USA and Fit Pro UK.
Mark has consulted for many top professional athletes, including mixed martial arts, rugby, swimming, golf and Formula-1. He has also invented several exercise devices including Critical Mass™ and the leverage board.
