All practitioners know the value of continual professional development. It’s a requirement for the industry’s professional associations and is vital to develop the knowledge and skills that will ensure practitioners are working to the highest possible standards.
Through our training courses we aim to give practitioners, whatever their approach to health and wellbeing, field leading knowledge, skills and tools that will enable them to deliver the best possible strategies to resolve their patient’s or client’s health challenges.
INTEGRATIVE HEALTH EDUCATION courses contribute to a wide range of industry bodies CPD requirements. Some associations run a ‘points’ system, others stipulate that a number of hours that must be spent each year on continual professional development. We work closely with a number of organisations, such as BANT, the Naturopathic Nutrition Council, the Federation of Holitistic Therapists, Complementary Health Professionals, Functional Diagnostic Nutrition and the Association of Registered Colon Hydrotherapists to ensure we are meeting the industry’s training needs.
For example, The Federation of Holistic Therapists requires a minimum of 10 CPD points per year. A one-day INTEGRATIVE HEALTH EDUCATION training course will contribute five points towards that total.
Other associations such as the Society of Homeopaths or the Naturopathic Nutrition Association set a number of hours each year that must be spent on training and education. In this situation, the number of hours spent on an INTEGRATIVE HEALTH EDUCATION course will count towards the total.
At the end of each completed course, attendees are given a certificate, which confirms the number of hours and CPD points gained. We recommend you keep these certificates on file to ensure you have the correct paperwork on hand for CPD validation.
If you are unsure about your industry’s continual professional development requirements then we advise you check with your industry association or council directly.
